Our ‘Connect the Dots’ Sustainability Programme
At Domino’s, we are driven by our purpose: to Deliver a Better Future Through Food People Love. As the leading pizza brand in the UK and Ireland, we know that we have a responsibility to make sure we are doing business in the right way, even when no one is looking. We want to operate not only in the interests of our customers today, but also as sustainably as we can to protect our planet and society for future generations of pizza-lovers.
Our sustainability strategy, ‘Connect the Dots’, ensures we are working together to deliver positive change.
Domino’s Connecting the Dots strategy is built around five pillars: it aims to deliver more choice to customers; ensure our workplaces are inclusive; make sure our environmental impact is minimised; guarantee our products are responsibly sourced; and continue our commitment to giving back to communities.
We have already made strong progress to date in these areas, but we also recognise that this is just the beginning of our sustainability journey and there is more to do. As we look to the future, we are driven to deliver the positive impact we know we can have as a business and look forward to regularly reporting on our progress.
Below you'll find our latest sustainability report where you can read about our commitments and our progress so far.
Our five point approach
To create our Connect the Dots strategy, we spoke to people inside and outside of Domino’s about what matters to them – including our customers, colleagues, Franchise Partners and investors. By confirming our actions are aligned with what matters most to them, we know we are focusing on the right areas.
We landed on five focus areas for our sustainability programme – each one is important but, when connected together, they have huge potential to deliver a better future:
1. Our Customers
The food industry has a role to play in helping people follow a balanced diet. Customers expect us to keep up with changing tastes and dietary requirements, so we’re working hard to offer them more choice.
2. Our People
When our colleagues thrive, we thrive. By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion, we are supporting our colleagues to achieve their full potential at Domino’s.
3. Our Environment
We want to protect the planet by reducing our impact on the environment as much as we can, especially when it comes to waste and carbon emissions.
4. Our Sourcing
It’s not just our own business that we want to be sustainable. We are also working closely with our suppliers to do the right thing.
5. For Our Communities
Domino’s would be nothing without the communities we are proud to serve. We aim to be a positive presence, wherever we do business.
Staying on track
We know that just saying we’ll do the right thing isn’t enough. Holding ourselves accountable, and openly checking our progress, is crucial to keeping ourselves on track.
That’s why we have working groups for each sustainability area, created to bring together experts and colleagues who can best identify and drive the actions we need to take. We also have a Sustainability Steering Committee, chaired by our Chief Executive and including members of our Leadership Team, which takes responsibility for leading all our sustainability initiatives.
