Barretstown

Barretstown, our charity partner in the Republic of Ireland, has been close to our hearts over the course of our 20-year partnership. In that time, we are proud to have been able to fundraise over €550,000 to help continue the amazing work they do to support young people living with a serious illness.

Their life-changing programmes and services mean families are able to enjoy quality time together, away from the stress and worries of living with serious illness, and we’re proud that our ongoing partnership plays a part in helping them achieve their mission.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

In addition to financial contributions, Domino’s has hosted 55 pizza-making workshops at the Barretstown Camp – creating fun and magical memories for over 6,000 children living with a serious illness.

The Domino’s partnership is one we are extremely proud of at Barretstown. The funds raised every year help us welcome more children and families living with a serious illness to take part in our programme of Therapeutic Recreation. ABOUT BARRETSTOWN

For many children living with a serious illness, life becomes about what they can’t do. But at Barretstown, they help them realise (and enjoy!) what they can do. Since 1994, the team have offered these specially designed camps and programmes for children and families living with a serious illness, supported by onsite 24 hour medical and nursing care, serving over 85,000 children and families from every county in Ireland as well as across Europe and the UK.

Children and families enjoy a variety of fun-filled programmes including Arts & Crafts, Drama, Lego, Adventure Games, Mini-Golf, Canoeing, Fishing, Baking, and Moviemaking. All these activities incorporate the Barretstown therapeutic recreation model, which empowers and encourages campers to step out of their comfort zone and begin to re-build their confidence and discover something new about themselves.
