Barretstown

Over our 18-year partnership with  Barretstown, we are proud to have donated over €400,000 to this important charity. In addition, we have, hosted 48 pizza-making workshops at the Barretstown Camp - making magical memories for over 6,000 children living with a serious illness. We also sponsor the

‘The Domino’s Amazing Race for Barretstown’ which is a team challenge event inspired by Barretstown’s ‘Press Play’ Campaign, giving corporate teams a chance to compete against each other in a series of exciting and fun challenges to win the coveted Barretstown Cup!

For many children living with serious illness, life becomes about what they can’t do, but at Barretstown, they teach them what they can do. Since 1994, the team have offered these specially designed camps and programmes for children and families living with a serious illness, supported by onsite 24 hour medical and nursing care, serving over 85,000 children and families from every county in Ireland as well as across Europe and the UK.

With the gates of Barretstown fully reopened campers have been able to enjoy Barretstown in person and as it was pre-Covid with the addition of ongoing safety measures such as antigen testing on arrival.

Children and families enjoy the fun-filled programmes and the magical experiences Barretstown has been providing for over 28 years. Campers enjoy a host of activities including Arts & Crafts, Drama, Lego, Adventure Games, Mini-Golf, Canoeing, Fishing, Baking, and Moviemaking.

All these activities incorporate the Barretstown therapeutic recreation model, which empowers and encourages campers to step out of their comfort zone and begin to re-build their confidence and discover something new about themselves.

Families are welcomed to Barretstown free of charge and enjoy quality time together away from the stress and worries of living with serious illness. The Barretstown team would like to thank Domino’s customers for their ongoing support. Without continued support, Barretstown simply wouldn't be able to continue to offer these life-changing programmes and services. Childhood stops for seriously ill children, but with your help Barretstown are able to Press Play again. Thank you.
