SHREWSBURY DOMINO’S HELPS RAISE DOUGH FOR TEENAGE CANCER TRUST

Domino’s, the nation’s best-loved pizza, has helped raise just over £7,000 for its charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust.
Pizza lovers in Shrewsbury and Shrewsbury – Battlefield have been fundraising through a local raffle, in-store collections and Domino’s charity meal deal, which sees £1 from every order go to Teenage Cancer Trust.
The charity has 28 specialist units in NHS hospitals across the UK, which are designed to provide young people with a sense of normality during their treatment. Domino’s supports Teenage Cancer Trust on a local and national level, aiming to raise £3 million by 2020.
The £7,000 raised with the help of generous locals could pay for more than 230 hours of specialist nursing care, 280 Youth Support Coordinator hours, or expert nursing across the whole charity for one day.
Avri Salariya, franchisee for Domino’s in Shrewsbury, said: “Our store colleagues are thrilled to help Teenage Cancer Trust in its mission to provide specialist care and support to every young person with cancer in the UK. We want to say a huge thank you to our customers who helped raise this much needed cash, whilst tucking in to our freshly handmade to order pizza. Teenage Cancer Trust is a fantastic charity and we’re committed to helping Domino’s smash the £3 million target by 2020.”
