Domino’s announces 5,000 jobs in its 40th year in the UK

22 September 2025

September 22, 2025. UK: Domino’s has launched a seasonal recruitment drive to hire 5,000 new colleagues across the UK and Ireland as it marks 40 years in the UK.

The nation’s leading pizza brand is once again gearing up for its busiest time of the year, with a call for more delivery drivers, in-store colleagues and pizza makers.

Nicola Frampton, Chief Operating Officer of Domino’s Pizza Group, said:

We’re celebrating 40 years as the UK’s no.1 pizza delivery brand but, as always, have more of an eye on the future than the past. We’re proud to offer 5,000 seasonal roles across the UK and Ireland as we approach our busy peak season.”

“We’ve delivered through four recessions, seven UK Prime Ministers, four national pandemic lockdowns, and even seven nail-biting England’s penalty shootouts. Whatever the circumstances, we’re proud to keep contributing to the economy and our communities.

“Our secret to being No.1 isn’t our pepperoni or pineapple - it’s our people. Nine in ten store managers began their Domino’s journey delivering or making our pizzas. We’re looking for great people to help us deliver great quality food, world-class service and incredible value for our customers”.

Whether you’re seeking flexible hours to fit around your life or aiming to build a lasting career with award-winning training and development, Domino’s offers opportunities for everyone. While many roles are temporary, those driven to grow and succeed will find a place to thrive with us.”

Domino’s new recruitment drive offers a welcome boost to Britain's struggling high streets, at a time when jobs are falling sharply, particularly in the hospitality sector. ONS data this month showed that jobs fell by 1.4% to 728,000 across nearly all industries between June and August. The previous quarter saw a 5.8% fall, with the hospitality sector accounting for 53% of all job losses in the UK.

The campaign from Domino’s –which opened its first UK store in Luton in 1985 and now operates more than 1,300 branches nationwide – coincides with new research** commissioned by the company which found that many people are switching careers in search of more 'sociable' roles, away from screens and home-working.

Young people in particular are increasingly attracted to jobs offering hands-on training rather than costly higher education. Six in ten (60%) 18-27 year olds surveyed said workplace experience and training mattered more for career success than a university degree, while almost the same proportion (59%) of graduates said they would reconsider their decision to go to university if they had the chance again.

The Domino’s award-winning store management training programme, The Academy, reflects these priorities by giving team members the opportunity to build long-term, diverse and rewarding careers. Since launching in 2022, the programme has supported over 500 employees, with 100 graduates expected in 2025 alone.
