Domino’s supports local food charities with the equivalent of 500,000 meals redistributed nationwide since 2017
6 July 2026Domino’s Pizza has achieved a major milestone of redistributing the equivalent of 500,000 meals to charities across the UK with Felix since the partnership began in 2017. Last year, a total of 38.6 tonnes of food was provided to local causes in need.
Where it’s impossible to avoid surplus food, Domino’s distributes it to those who need it most. Surplus food, including cheese, meats and dips, collected from three of Domino’s Supply Chain Centres in England and Scotland, are redistributed through Felix’s network of charities. In 2025, Domino’s Pizza supported nearly 2,000 charities through Felix, providing much needed support to those in need.
Felix is the new name for merged food redistribution charities FareShare and The Felix Project. It works with partners across the food industry to rescue surplus food and redistribute it to charities and community organisations across the UK. Food from Domino's is redistributed by Felix to community projects or turned into tinned meals like Nduja and Jalapeno Soup.
By supplying Felix with surplus food, Domino’s helps extend a lifeline to those in need, while tackling a crucial role in its own sustainably strategy, mitigating carbon emissions by reducing food waste. In 2025, Domino’s saved a total 77 tonnes of CO2 and 103 million litres of water through donating surplus food to Felix. While waste accounts for only a small portion of their overall emissions, reducing it is part of a broader strategy to lower greenhouse gases. Domino’s remain committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Darren O’Keefe, Director of Inventory at Domino’s said: “Our supply chain is carefully managed, so we keep food waste to a minimum. But where surplus does arise, we’re committed to making sure it reaches organisations like Felix, who can get it to the people and communities who need it most. With 4.5 million children in the UK living in poverty, partnerships like this play an important role in helping provide essential support to people facing financial hardship nationwide. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of our SCC teams, the equivalent of 500,000 meals has been redistributed since we started working together, helping it make a meaningful difference while also reducing waste.”
Li Brookman, Head of Retail at Felix said: “We are so grateful to the team at Domino’s for their ongoing support. Domino’s commitment to supporting the redistribution of surplus food makes a real difference to people and communities in need across the UK. At a time when demand for our food is growing and people are struggling with the cost of living, we’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with Domino’s under our new name - Felix. Thank you Domino’s.”
