DELIVERING PROGRESS WITH PURPOSE: DOMINO’S 2024 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT HIGHLIGHTS STRONG PROGRESS AND AMBITIOUS NEW TARGETS
14 April 2025Domino’s Pizza Group has published its second annual sustainability report, “Progress with Purpose”, reinforcing its commitment to delivering a better future through the food people love.
This year’s report showcases the progress made by the business during 2024 and sets out the company’s ambitious targets to continue reducing its environmental impact, improving its range of more balanced choices, and supporting the communities Domino’s is proud to serve.
The report highlights that Domino’s is on track to meet its 2031 carbon reduction commitments by continuing to increase energy efficiency at its Supply Chain Centres (SCC) which distribute dough, ingredients and equipment to the 1,372 stores; optimise how it deploys its SCC fleet or trucks and vans; and switching from diesel to alternative fuels such as electric.
During 2024, Domino’s also rolled out its nutrition strategy which focuses on offering customers balanced choices, providing clear nutritional information, as well as innovating and reformulating products to reduce saturated fat, salt, and sugar while maintaining the great taste customers expect.
Highlights from the report include:
- Reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 6.7% (market-based) versus 2023; and reduced Scope 3 emissions by 5.9% versus 2023
- Expanded the company’s greener SCC truck and van fleet by introducing introducing 81 vehicles with electric refrigeration units, and trialing a 100% electric van as part of a pilot programme to potentially replace diesel vehicles that deliver to stores in urban areas
- Rolling out new balanced options such as lower-calorie 600Kcal ‘Cheeky Little Pizzas’ and 450Kcal Wraps nationwide
Andrew Rennie, Chief Executive Office at Domino’s said: “At Domino’s, we are committed to growing our business responsibly as part of our goal of delivering a better future through food people love.
“Over the past year, we’ve made significant progress from cutting carbon emissions to rolling out our Nutrition Strategy, as well as ensuring our colleagues work in a safe and inclusive environment.
“This report demonstrates our progress, but we know there’s more to do. Looking ahead, we will continue to challenge ourselves, and will work closely with our suppliers, and world-class franchise partners to continue making strides in our ESG journey.”
Domino’s has also set out new ambitious nutritional and environmental targets for 2025, building on the progress made to date. This includes continuing to expand its greener
fleet to 6 fully electric vehicles, assessing the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelled articulated lorries, publishing its first full Nutrition Report, and advancing its Plastic Improvement Plan by test alternative packaging solutions in collaboration with its top three plastic-contributing suppliers.
